AN<br>EFFECTIVE HOME SETUP STARTS SMALL

Buy for the movements you will actually practice.

A home training space does not need to be expensive. The right setup depends on your available floor space, exercise experience and whether you prefer full-body strength sessions, conditioning or mobility work.

Plan the movement patterns

Consider how you will train basic patterns such as a squat or sit-to-stand, hinge, push, pull and loaded carry. Your tools might include adjustable dumbbells, suitable bands and a stable bench, but not everyone needs every item.

Check safety and space

Make sure benches and anchors are properly rated and stable. Keep enough room to move freely. Inspect bands regularly and follow the manufacturer’s guidance.

Spend slowly

Start with the equipment you'll use several times each week. After a month, you’ll have better evidence about what is missing than you would from a social-media shopping list.
